Privacy Policy
Schoolink is a school management platform. Schools use it to manage students, communicate with parents and staff, and share school life with their community. This policy explains what data the Schoolink apps and services handle and how it is protected.
Who is responsible for your data
Your school creates and manages all Schoolink accounts. The school decides what information is stored (the "data controller"); Schoolink stores and processes that information on the school's behalf (the "data processor"). There is no self-service registration — if you have an account, it was created for you by your school.
What data we store
- Account details — name, phone number, email address, and a password, provided by your school.
- School records — for students: class, attendance, grades, homework, timetable, club membership, cafeteria menus, sanctions, and fee/payment status, entered by school staff.
- Content you create — feed comments, likes, and chat messages exchanged with your school.
The apps do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any analytics or tracking data. There are no ads and no third-party trackers.
How your data is used
Data is used solely to provide the school-management service to your school: showing parents their children's school life, letting staff run the school, and delivering school announcements and messages. Data is never sold and never shared with third parties for marketing.
When you report a message or a post
If you report a comment, post, or chat message as inappropriate, we store a copy of the reported text as it was at that moment, the reason you gave, and your name — and we show all three to your school's administrators, because they are the people responsible for acting on it. Your report is visible to the administrators of your school only; it is not shown to the person you reported, and it is not shared outside your school. Where an administrator needs help from us to deal with a report, they can raise it with Schoolink support, and the reported text travels with that request.
Children's data
Student records are entered and controlled by the school. Where student app accounts exist, they are created and supervised by the school, which obtains any consent required from parents or guardians. Parents can contact the school or us at any time to review or remove their child's data.
Security
All traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, access is protected by short-lived signed tokens, and every account only ever sees data belonging to its own school.
Data retention and deletion
Data is kept for as long as your school uses Schoolink. To correct or delete your data — including closing an account — contact your school, or email us at mohamed33hakim96@gmail.com and we will process the request with your school.
