These terms apply to the Schoolink mobile and web applications. By signing in you agree to them.

Accounts

Accounts are created and managed by your school. Keep your password private and tell your school immediately if you believe your account has been misused. Your school may suspend or remove an account at any time.

Acceptable use and user content

Comments and messages you post must relate to school life and be respectful. It is not permitted to post content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that shares someone else's personal information without permission.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour:

• Every comment and message can be reported from inside the app.
• You can block another user to stop seeing their comments.
• Reports are reviewed by the school's administrators, who will remove offending content and may revoke the author's access — normally within 24 hours of a report.

Who is responsible for reported content

Each school's administrators are responsible for the content reported within their own school. A report made by a parent, student, or teacher goes to the administrators of that school — not to Schoolink — and it is they who must read it, decide what to do, remove content, and where necessary suspend or remove the account that posted it. Schoolink provides the reporting and blocking tools, keeps a record of every report and of whether it has been dealt with, and gives administrators a support channel for anything they cannot resolve themselves; it does not moderate a school's messages on the school's behalf, and it does not overrule an administrator's decision about their own school.

Schools accept this responsibility as a condition of using the service, and must keep at least one administrator able to act on reports promptly.

The service

Schoolink displays information entered by your school. The school, not Schoolink, is responsible for the accuracy of grades, attendance, fees, and other records. The service is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable during maintenance.
